For any non-profit organization, volunteerism is essential. Laura's House depends on volunteers to keep all of our programs running smoothly and consistently. Our 150 dedicated volunteer contribute over 10,000 hours per year to our programs.
*Fingerprinting is required for all Volunteers and TB Tests for volunteers who work with children. All Volunteers must complete the 40 Hour Training (see below) to work at the Counseling and Resource Center or the Shelter.
If you have particular skills in areas that you think could benefit Laura's House - please contact us.
Volunteer opportunities that require the 40 hr. domestic violence training are:
- Advocacy
- Childcare
- Crisis (Hotline) Counseling
- Counseling and Resource Center Administrative Assistance
- Translation
Volunteer opportunities that do not require the training are:
- Administration office assistance
- Portobello Road, our upscale, resale boutique
- Events
