LEGAL SERVICES
The Legal Advocacy Department at Laura's House is designed to assist clients from our Counseling and Resource Center as well as referred clients.
The Legal Department assists in:
- Filing domestic violence restraining orders
- Court transportation
- Court support
- Court direction
- Referrals to community resources
- Taking photographs of injuries to use as evidence
- Attorney and Shelter referrals
Legal Clinic: The Legal Department, in collaboration with the Orange County Bar Association, hosts a monthly legal clinic on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Clients have an opportunity to speak to an attorney for 30 minutes; free of charge. A prior appointment is required. Upcoming legal clinic dates:
