This year, Laura’s House celebrates 30 years of providing life-saving services to survivors of domestic violence. Our 30th Anniversary Gala is an opportunity to reflect on the past and a call to action for the future. Domestic violence is a black-and-white issue—we must stand together to end it.

For the past three decades, Laura’s House has offered shelter, counseling, legal assistance, and support to over 7,000 survivors of domestic violence and helped more than 80,000 individuals rebuild their lives. Together, we’ve made incredible progress, but much more must be done.
An Evening of Elegance, Reflection, and Action
The theme for our Bow Ties & Pearls Gala represents resilience and transformation, much like the survivors we support. Bow ties symbolize unity and sophistication, reminding us that when we come together, we can create something elegant and powerful—just like the collective effort to end domestic violenc. Similarly, pearls, formed through resilience and transformation, symbolize the strength and empowerment of survivors over the last 30 years. The night will feature a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, a seated dinner, and live entertainment. It will also honor Sheriff Don Barnes and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for their commitment to ending domestic violence.

Gently used items that we CAN accept:
CLOTHING, SHOES & ACCESSORIES
We are currently accepting new and gently used clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories for all genders and sizes, including children and infants clothing.
HOME ITEMS
Decorative home accents, figurines, accent pillows & throws, frames & framed art, complete dish sets, decorative/antique silver items, luggage in good working condition
BOOKS AND TOYS
Books for all ages are accepted in good condition. Toys must be in good condition with minimal wear and tear. Toys with missing or damaged parts will not be accepted
FURNITURE
Bedroom furniture, dressers, chairs, couches, sectionals, patio furniture, Antiques. Etc.
All furniture must be pre-approved prior to drop off. *In-Home furniture pick up service is available within a 15 mile radius of Aliso Viejo on approved furniture. To help us offset the cost of this service, Please consider making a donation to help us cover our pick up/delivery expenses.
Please note that furniture will be accepted on an as needed basis only
Items we are unable to accept:
SMALL OR LARGE APPLIANCES
We do not have a current need for refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, stoves, and washer and dryers
ELECTRONICS
We cannot accept electronic items including cord or battery operated TV’s, computers, DVD players, power tools, radios, clocks. Etc.
HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
We do not accept knife sets, used Tupperware, window paneling, industrial equipment, used car seats, used strollers or helmets
FURNITURE
Broken or soiled furniture will not be accepted. We are not able to accept gently used baby or toddler cribs, rockers, pack and plays
BROKEN OR SOILED ITEMS
We do not have the ability to fix or mend items that are broken or damaged in any way. Soiled items and stained clothing are not accepted
How to bring us your donations:
CLOTHING, SHOES & ACCESSORIES
We kindly ask that clothing, shoes, and accessories are brought in 13 gal. bags and separated from any sharp or breakable objects. Due to limited space we are not able to accept clothing in boxes or bins. For donation drop offs with more than 8 bags- please arrange for a large drop off at our Donation Center. 949-627-0130
HOUSEWARES & BOOKS
Housewares and books can be brought in a sturdy box to transport. For a larger drop off of more than 5 boxes- please arrange for a large drop off at any of our locations.
FURNITURE
Due to limited floorspace at our Resale Stores, all furniture donations must be pre-approved. Please visit laurashouse.org/furniture for more details.
Adhering to these donation guidelines ensures that we are able to process donations most efficiently, with the maximum amount of proceeds from the sales going back to the programs and services we provide.

Donate a Vehicle
Donate a vehicle to Laura's House and when the vehicle sells you will get a donation receipt in the amount for which the vehicle sold. For more information or questions please call CARS program at 855-500-RIDE (7433).

Volunteer & Get Involved
Volunteer
Volunteers are currently needed at both our Lake Forest, San Juan Capistrano location and Donation Processing Center in Aliso Viejo. We kindly ask our Resale Store volunteers to commit to 2 hours a week for a minimum of 4 months when they volunteer due to the training commitment. Host a Donation Drive
We welcome donations from the community of gently used clothing, men’s women’s and children’s, shoes, handbags, jewelry, small housewares, collectibles and furniture. Proceeds from sales go toward funding the domestic violence supportive programs and services that we provide to the community.
