If you have questions or concerns about your relationship you can get help and answers now by contacting Laura’s House by phone or through Heart Chat.

About the Heart Chat Line

Heart Chat is an online hotline that provides information, resources and referrals to adolescents age 12-17 with the goal of encouraging healthy dating relationships and providing support to those in abusive relationships. Heart Chat connects adolescents to a domestic violence advocate who can answer questions, offer relationship education, suggest safety planning tips and connect adolescents to a professional therapist. Send an e-mail to our domestic violence advocates at HeartChat@LaurasHouse.org and an advocate will respond.

Heart Health

Heart Health is a program that offers adolescents age 12-17 convenient counseling services through the use of live video streaming (i.e. Skype) or by phone. Now adolescents can get the support they need without the burden of having to arrange transportation or drive to a physical counseling center location.

What kind of things can Heart Health counseling help you with

  • Create a personalized safety plan. If you are feeling unsafe in your relationship or need specific guidance and feedback about how to protect yourself, working with a therapist can help you create a safety plan tailored to your situation.n
  • Figure out how to handle specific relationship problems. Talking with a therapist allows you the opportunity to explore the specific relationship problems you are facing and helps you figure out what to do and how to respond to the specific problems you are facing.
  • Feel better. Often problems in our dating relationships can affect how we feel in general (i.e. tired, sad, difficulty concentrating). Talking with a therapist can help you feel better in general.
